Experience an unforgettable 8-day circuit starting and ending in Leh, taking you through the highest and most remote parts of Ladakh. Acclimatize in Leh with local sightseeing before crossing Khardung La to reach the vast Nubra Valley. Ride alongside the mesmerizing Pangong Lake and traverse the rugged Changthang Valley stretching along the border. The highlight of the trip awaits as you head to Hanle, home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory and India's first Dark Sky Reserve. From there, conquer the world's highest motorable pass, Umling La (19,024 ft), a true test of adrenaline and riding spirit. Complete your journey with a scenic return to Leh, stopping at ancient monasteries and hot springs, bringing home memories that will last a lifetime.
Day-wise Itinerary
Arrival at Leh Airport | Acclimatization Day
• Welcome to The Land Of High Passes! The group will assemble at the airport. From here, a designated vehicle will drop you at your hotel. • We will check into our designated hotels. The rest of the day is at leisure and travelers are strictly advised to acclimatize for a safe journey ahead. Keep yourself hydrated, indulge in minimal physical activities, and acclimatize properly. • In the evening, your trip captain will conduct a tour briefing session. • Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Leh. Note: The pickup timings are 9 AM and 12 PM. Please note that the pickup schedule is fixed and hence we advise you to manage your travel plans accordingly. Standard Check-In time is 11:00 AM.
Leh Local Sightseeing
• Post breakfast, a brief introductory session would be conducted. Afterward, we’ll head out for our local sightseeing tour. • We will visit the Sangam site in the Leh region, where the Zanskar River meets the Indus River to form a beautiful confluence. • We will also visit other tourist attractions such as Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, which is an anti-gravity hill, as well as The Hall of Fame, which is a war memorial maintained by the Indian Army. • The last stop on our sightseeing tour is the iconic Shanti Stupa known for its beautiful white dome shape, statues, and intricate carvings. • In the evening, travelers can indulge in cafe hopping, local shopping, and buying unique souvenirs. • We will return to our Hotel where dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay in Leh. Highlights of the day: Sangam, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, The Hall of Fame, Shanti Stupa. Note: Bikers are advised to strictly follow the Biking Guidelines provided to them to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
Leh to Nubra Valley (130 Kms) Via Khardung La
• Post breakfast, we’ll head out to explore the many wonders of Nubra Valley. • En route, we will be traversing through one of the Highest Motorable Roads in the World, Khardung La (18,380 Ft), which offers magnificent views of towering mountains. • Upon reaching Nubra Valley, travelers can indulge in a Double Hump Bactrian Camel Ride, ATV rides, and more (on personal expense) • After indulging in thrill-filled activities, travelers will check in to their hotel. • Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Nubra Valley. Highlights of the day: Khardung La, Hunder Sand Dunes, Nubra Valley. Note: A hot-bucket of Water will be provided for freshening up in the morning at Nubra, Pangong Lake & Hanle. Note: Bonfire in Nubra is weather-dependent
Nubra Valley to Pangong (180 Kms) Via Diskit Monastery
• It's Pangong Day! Post-breakfast, we’ll check out from our hotel and head towards Pangong Lake. • En-route, we will visit the Diskit Monastery, popular for the 106ft tall colorful statue of Buddha. • After paying our reverence at the monastery, we will resume our journey towards Pangong, the iconic lake that has gained popularity ever since featuring in the Bollywood blockbuster movies like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. • Upon reaching Pangong, we will check into our cottages, explore the lakeside, and capture surreal views. • At night, you can enjoy a warm meal with your friends and capture stunning views of the night sky. (if weather permits) Highlights of the day: Diskit Monastery, Pangong Lake, Stargazing Note: Due to its altitude and location, Nubra, Pangong Lake & Hanle do not have electricity at night. Travelers are recommended to be prepared for the same.
Pangong Tso to Hanle (180 kms) Via Changthang Valley
• The road we will be taking today snakes through Changthang Valley, an undiscovered region of Ladakh that is beautiful beyond words. It is also famous for being home to elusive wildlife like Himalayan Red Fox, Kiangs and rarely snow-leopards. • En-route we will be crossing tiny settlements like Chushul, Tsaga Village and Loma that offer picturesque views ideal for a rest stop. • We will also stop at the Rezang La War Memorial, a tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 Indo-China war. • Today is all about the journey to Hanle, one of Ladakh’s highest villages that falls on the Old Silk Route that connected India to China. It is also home to India’s first and Biggest Astronomical Observatory boasting the biggest telescope. • Upon reaching, we will check-in into our Cottage/ Homestays and take enough rest for the rest of the journey. Highlights of the day: Changthang Valley, Rezang La War Memorial, Hanle
Hanle and Umling La Excursion Day
• After a night spent stargazing, we will re-fuel our energy and set out to conquer the mighty Umling La - World’s Highest Motorable Pass perched at an elevation of 19, 024ft. • Today is the day we forget all our fears and gear up for a ride of a lifetime. As you climb higher the barrenness and twisting turns will literally have adrenaline pumping through your veins. • While you are at the top, you will find yourself surrendering to the out of the world views laid in front of you, truly a moment that will capture your heart. • After the thrilling and memorable ride, we will head back to Hanle and spend the night capturing the night sky. The clear views of the milky way, shooting stars and more is a sight that is sure to leave an indelible mark on your soul. • Dinner and Overnight stay in Hanle. Highlights of the day: Conquering Umling La, Stargazing at Night Note : Views of the Milky Way are subjective due to weather conditions.
Hanle to Leh (254 kms) Via Chumathang Village
• Having spent an unforgettable week in Ladakh, today’s return journey will certainly make you want to capture every last detail of each scenery that passes by. After a delicious breakfast, we will head back to Leh. • The views en route are truly a sight to behold; make sure to capture every moment in your heart and mind. We will also be traversing through Chumathang Village on our way back, which is home to a naturally occurring Hot Spring rich in minerals. • The entire journey will be a perfect ride to be grateful for this opportunity. We will also visit Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery on the way, which gives you a deep insight into the Ladakhi heritage and traditions. • Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Leh. Highlight of the day: Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery Note: Visits to Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery are subject to time.
Departure from Leh
• We can guarantee that you will wake up feeling truly fulfilled with a lingering sense of peace and calmness within. Greet yourself a hearty breakfast and take a few minutes to simply reminisce about the last few days. • With loads of memories etched in your heart, bid a bitter-sweet goodbye to your friends as you head back home from the Leh Airport. Note: The drop off time is at 9 AM. Please note that the schedule for pickup is fixed and hence we advise you to manage your travel plans accordingly. Standard Check-out time is 08:00 AM.
