Experience the ultimate Himalayan motorcycle expedition starting from the paradise of Srinagar to the beautiful valley of Manali. This 11-day adventure takes you through the most iconic and extreme terrains of the Himalayas. Begin your journey with a relaxing Shikara ride and a Houseboat stay in Dal Lake, before throttling towards the cold trails of Dras, the war memorials of Kargil, and the magnificent Lamayuru moonscapes to reach Leh. The real adventure unfolds as you conquer high-altitude passes like Khardung La and the mighty Umling La (19,024 ft)—the world's highest motorable pass. Explore the serene Nubra Valley, witness the mesmerizing colors of Pangong Lake, and stargaze under the crystal-clear skies of Hanle. Ride past pristine high-altitude lakes like Tso Moriri and Tso Kar, experience the natural hot springs at Puga Valley, and navigate the thrilling 21-hairpin Gata Loops. Finally, cross the engineering marvel of Atal Tunnel to end your epic journey in Manali, taking home memories stamped in your riding soul.
Day-wise Itinerary
Srinagar Arrival | Houseboat Stay | Shikara Ride
• Welcome to Paradise on Earth! The group will assemble at the Dal Lake ghat at the designated time slot. From here, a shikara will pick you up and drop you at your designated houseboat where we’ll check in. • In the evening, we’ll meet the team captains and a short tour briefing session will be conducted. • Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar. Highlights: Dal Lake, Shikara Ride, Houseboat Stay. Note: Pick-up slots from Shikara to Houseboat are at 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM. Kindly arrange your airport transfer to the ghat beforehand.
Srinagar to Kargil via Dras (210 kms)
• After an early morning breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Kargil via Sonmarg. Bikers will be allotted their respective bikes and the ride officially begins. • En-route, we will make a brief stop at the Zojila Pass (11,649 ft), one of the most thrilling passes on the Srinagar–Leh highway. • As we continue riding through the cold trails of Dras, also known as the Gateway to Ladakh, the landscapes start turning more rugged and dramatic. • We will also visit the Kargil War Memorial which commemorates the bravery and sacrifices made during the 1999 Kargil War. • Upon reaching Kargil, we’ll check into our hotel. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Kargil. Highlights: Zoji La Pass, Dras, Kargil War Memorial. Note : All riders must strictly follow convoy rules. Over-speeding, off-roading, or disobeying the Bike Marshal will not be entertained.
Kargil to Leh via Namika La & Fotu La (216kms)
• Post breakfast, we will begin our journey from Kargil to Leh. • En-route, we will traverse through Namika La (12,198 ft) followed by the Lamayuru Hills, known for their unique moon-like terrain. We then cross Fotula pass (13,479 ft), the highest point on the Leh–Srinagar route, before reaching Sangam: the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. • As we move closer to Leh, we will also visit other tourist attractions such as Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, followed by a visit to the Shanti Stupa which is known for its beautiful white dome shape, statues, and intricate carvings. • In the evening, we'll check into our designated hotel. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Leh. Highlights: Namika La, Lamayuru, Fotu La, Sangam, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Shanti Stupa.
Leh to Nubra Valley (130 kms)
• Post breakfast, we’ll head out for a scenic ride to Nubra Valley. • En-route, we will make a pit stop at one of the highest motorable roads in the world, Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), this pass is a dream milestone for every biker. • Upon reaching Nubra Valley, you can indulge in Double Hump Bactrian Camel Rides, ATV rides, and more at the famous Hunder Sand Dunes (on personal expense). • Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Nubra Valley at the Hotel. Highlights: Khardung La Pass, Nubra Valley, Hunder Sand Dunes. Note: A hot bucket of water will be provided for freshening up in the morning at Nubra, Pangong Lake, Hanle & Tso Moriri.
Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Diskit Monastery (180kms)
• Post-breakfast, we’ll check out from our hotel and and begin our journey towards the magnificent Pangong Lake. • En-route, we will visit the famous Diskit Monastery, popular for the 106 ft tall colorful statue of Buddha. • After paying our reverence at the monastery, we will continue our ride towards Pangong Tso, the iconic lake that has gained popularity ever since featuring in the Bollywood blockbuster like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. • Upon reaching Pangong, we'll check into our cottages and spend some peaceful time by the lake’s banks. • At night, enjoy a warm dinner with your friends and witness the magical starry skies (if weather permits). Highlights: Diskit Monastery, Pangong Lake Stay. Note: Due to its altitude and location, Nubra, Pangong Lake, Hanle & Tso Moriri do not have electricity at night. Travelers are recommended to be prepared for the same and enjoy the epic night skies.
Pangong Lake to Hanle Via Tsaga La (180 kms)
• After breakfast, we begin our journey from Pangong Lake towards the offbeat and breathtaking village of Hanle. • The road we will be taking today passes through scenic settlements like Chushul, Tsaga Village and Loma that offer picturesque views ideal for a rest stop. • En route, we will also visit the Rezang La War Memorial, dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought in the Indo-China War. • As we continue, we ride along the Old Silk Route, which once connected India to China. By evening, we reach Hanle, one of Ladakh’s highest villages and home to India’s first and largest Astronomical Observatory, famous for its massive telescope and stunning night skies. • Upon reaching, we will check-in into our cottage/homestays and take enough rest for the next day’s adventure. Highlights: Chushul, Tsaga Village, Loma, Rezang La War Memorial, Old Silk Route, Hanle Observatory.
Hanle and Umling La Excursion Day
• After a night spent stargazing under Hanle’s crystal-clear skies, we will re-fuel our energy and set out to conquer the mighty Umling La - World’s Highest Motorable Pass perched at an elevation of 19,024 ft. • Today is the day we forget all our fears and gear up for a ride of a lifetime. As you climb higher, the barren landscapes, sharp winds, and endless twisting roads will have adrenaline pumping through your veins. • And then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for—standing at the top of Umling La, surrounded by nothing but raw Himalayan wilderness and unmatched views. It is a feeling of achievement that stays with you forever. • After the thrilling and memorable ride, we will head back to Hanle and spend the night capturing the night sky filled with countless stars, and if lucky, even the Milky Way and shooting stars. • Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Hanle. Highlights: Umling La Summit Ride, World’s Highest Motorable Pass Experience, Stargazing in Hanle. Note: Views of the Milky Way are subjective and depend on weather conditions.
Hanle to Tso Moriri (150 Kms)
• After a well deserved sleep last night, we will continue our adventure as we head to Tso Moriri, one of India’s most beautiful and peaceful high-altitude lakes. • En route, we will witness Ladakh’s raw beauty in its purest form, and you may even spot rare migratory birds like the black-necked crane and bar-headed geese. • Upon reaching Tso Moriri, we spend a blissful afternoon by the lake, exploring its beauty and simply absorbing the peace. Later, we’ll head to our cottage near the lake. • At night, you can catch glimpses of the starry sky and indulge in group bonding sessions. • Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay at Tso Moriri. Highlights: Tso Moriri Lake Exploration, Scenic Ladakh Landscapes, Bird Sightings.
Tso Moriri to Sarchu via Puga Valley (220 kms)
• After an early morning breakfast, we will begin our return journey towards Sarchu. • En route, we will be traversing through Puga Valley, known for its natural hot water springs that are believed to have medicinal properties. • We will then make a brief stop at yet another lesser-known lake of Ladakh, Tso Kar Lake, which is a saltwater lake offering unhindered views of the Rupshu Valley. • As we continue, we ride through the stunning 21 Hairpin Bends - Gata Loops followed by the More Plains, an aesthetic 40 km stretch of open land that is a dream route for every biker. • We will also cross two major high-altitude passes—Nakee La (15,547 ft) and Lachung La (16,600 ft) before finally reaching Sarchu. • After arriving in Sarchu, we will check into our campsites. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Sarchu. Highlights: Puga Valley, Tso Kar Lake, Gata Loops, More Plains, Nakee La, Lachung La, Pang. Note: All travelers who have opted for bikes will be dropping their BS6 Himalayans at the Sarchu campsite today and will continue the journey in tempo travelers.
Sarchu to Manali via Atal Tunnel (177 Kms)
• After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards Manali while traversing through the iconic Atal Tunnel and Baralacha La (15,910 ft). • En-route, we’ll traverse Suraj Tal which is a high-altitude lake known for its crystal-clear waters, followed by a stop at Zing Zing Bar, a famous landmark along the Leh–Manali highway. We’ll make a pit stop at Deepak Tal for refreshments. • Upon our arrival in Manali, we’ll check into our designated hotel. Dinner followed followed by an overnight stay in Manali. Highlights: Baralacha La Pass, Suraj Tal, Zing Zing Bar, Deepak Tal, Atal Tunnel.
Manali Leisure Day | Trip End
• Wake up to the chirping of birds and beautiful views of Manali town. Today is a relaxed day where you can enjoy the refreshing vibes of Himachal. • Check out from the Manali hotel by 11:00 AM. After that, you have the entire day to explore the vibrant streets of Manali at your own pace. • You can try local street food, visit charming cafes, explore popular sightseeing spots, and shop for souvenirs at the local markets and Mall Road.
